Data Feeds Consultant

The Data Feeds Consultant would take strategic ownership of all the feeds that we manage for clients. The role primarily supports our media teams in maintaining new feeds, optimizing existing feeds, and troubleshooting issues along the way. This role involves data (lots of data), interfacing and collaborating with product team members, and being a source of knowledge for all things feed related (most work will be done within GMP, Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, and Facebook Advertising). Excel/Google Sheets is used daily and familiarity with programming languages and concepts is required.

**PLACE WITHIN ORGANISATION**:

- Reports to the GM / Head of Operations
- Works with Managing Director, GM, Account Directors, Consultants +Account Managers as well as Paid Media Managers.
- Works closely with Clients as a strategic partner

**KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE**:
IMPERATIVE
- Creating static and dynamic data feeds that help clients optimize performance in online shopping channels
- Reviewing existing feeds to gain product knowledge and information needed to organize a successful data feed file
- Managing Merchant Center Accounts for clients by ensuring all information about product specifications, pricing, and inventory are accurate and up to date
- Strong skill set in navigating teams & where help and finding where expertise are needed. Able to operate within grey areas and without clear direction re what is needed - a consultant should advise what is required
- Analyzing overall performance and trends to troubleshoot data feeds
- Working with clients to update campaigns or product information as needed
- Comprehensive understanding of the relationship between e-commerce product data feeds.
- Writing SQL queries or executing API requests to return product attributes for data manipulation and transformation would be advantageous
- Staying aware of new trends in data feed optimization and industry best practices
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Experience with Google Merchant Center or data feed creation
- Experience in stabilizing high pressure situations & tights deadlines
- Experience in working within a fast pace global operational team
- Thinking ahead & being able to identify areas of improvements within for clients - this is from a feeds performance point of view
- Ability to identify and support teams to resolve feed related problems, discrepancies any other feed related issues which affect campaigns

MAIN TASKS

The Data Feeds Consultant will spend most of his/her time performing the following functions requiring discretion and independent judgment, working under only general supervision.

Data Setup, Optimization, and Review
- Configure and map attributes from a variety of files, including delimited and XML files, custom scriptsAPI-based platform integrations
- Assess the quality of feed and identify any discrepancies or causes for delay
- Establish project scope during onboarding, including identifying and prioritizing additional services and requests from clients
- Follow best practices to build product feeds, including optimizing, modifying, sorting, and filtering mass

quantities of product data into usable product listings
- Set up exports to various E-Commerce shopping channels
- Review feeds before sending to QA, including a thorough excel dump review and utilizing FeedGraderTM
- Communicate with various E-Commerce shopping channels and affiliate networks to gain clarity on

specific feed requirements
- Proactively review client value-added services and report benefits to clients

Problem Solving
- Install and troubleshoot Feedonomics platform integrations to import data
- Troubleshoot data imports that are not functioning correctly, switch data import sources, and ensuring

the integrity of data, resolve mismatching product attributes when products are updated, and provide

solutions to resolving errors and warnings in various shopping channels
- Report and Collaborate with Product and Development teams on platform enhancements

Communication
- Communicate effectively with clients and other teams, ensuring accurate and timely responses
- Facilitate virtual weekly and monthly client meetings
- Manage multi-client communication
- Appropriately set and maintain expectations with client and team
- Oversee communication and work done for accounts under your management
- Delegate work to appropriate support teams
- Keep immediate manager and director informed of any client issues or escalations
- Provide a clear vision for Enterprise Support Specialists about client requests and objectives.
- Anticipate potential client issues and proactively find solutions
- Enthusiasm and passion are crucial to ensure that clients want to continue partnering with Feedonomics.
