You'll work closely with our 2IC and actively collaborate with our engaged parent committee on key decisions, strategic planning, budgeting, and ensuring long-term sustainability.Key Responsibilities:Lead a team of dedicated educators to deliver high-quality early childhood education and care.Ensure compliance with all regulatory, financial, and operational requirements.Maintain strong, open communication with the parent committee, participating in monthly meetings (outside of centre hours) and supporting key community events such as the AGM and family days.Coordinate with DevelopmentWA on nearby redevelopment works, ensuring minimal disruption to centre operations.Foster an inclusive, engaging, and nurturing environment where families, children, and educators feel connected and supported.What We're Looking ForWe're seeking a leader who:Has proven experience in a Director or leadership role within an early childhood education setting.Holds a relevant Early Childhood qualification (Diploma or Degree level) and meets ACECQA requirements.Brings strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
Excels in team leadership, communication, and strategic thinking.Is community-minded, collaborative, and committed to making a meaningful impact.This is a unique opportunity to lead a centre with a strong reputation and genuine community spirit, while being part of an exciting new chapter as the Lefroy development takes shape.While this role is ideally full-time, part-time hours may be considered for the right candidate, offering flexibility to suit your needs while still making a meaningful impact in our collaborative, values-driven centre.Come join us in shaping the future of early learning—where nature, education, and community meet.Responsibilities:Lead and manage a passionate team: Hire, train, and supervise staff to maintain the high standards of care and education that our families expect.Operational excellence: Oversee the day-to-day running of the centre, ensuring compliance with national regulations, maintaining a safe environment, and providing the best possible service to children and families.Foster community connections: Drive annual events like our concerts, AGMs, and collaborative activities with our supportive parent committee to strengthen our sense of community.Financial stewardship: Prepare and manage budgets, report financial performance with the accounts manager and committee, and identify strategies to enhance revenue and profitability.Customer satisfaction: Cultivate strong relationships with families, resolve any issues, and ensure our centre meets their needs while keeping the children's best interests at the heart of everything we do.What We're Looking For:Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Early Education and/or Diploma of Children's Services.Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a similar management role, with a strong understanding of early childhood education, team management, and financial oversight.Leadership: You'll have a natural ability to lead and inspire a team, communicate effectively, and be a problem-solver on the spot.Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with Smart Central, StoryPark, Family Assistance Law, and holding a valid PRODA account.A Love for Community and Nature: Our centre thrives on its strong community culture.
