In this role, you'll conduct pool fencing inspections to ensure compliance with legislation, plus issue Swimming Pool Compliance Certificates, Notices and Orders. This is a mobile role inspecting pool fences at home-owner's premises, so it's vital that you can communicate effectively, work in a safe manner and are comfortable meeting performance targets with mínimal supervision.

- Supports the implementation of our Swimming Pool Fencing Compliance Strategy
- Promotes, educates and assesses pools to ensure compliant, and educates the community on pool safety
- Interprets legislation and problem solves.

- An attractive base salary ranging from $1,132.44 per week with competency based increments up to $1,297.46 per week, plus 10.5% super
- 35 hour week, 9 day fortnight

**We are seeking**:

- Demonstrated ability to complete the Swimming Pool Assessments, Compliance and Safety Awareness Course, or equivalent within 3 months of appointment dependent on course availability
- Demonstrated ability to understand, and the capacity to apply, legislation, policy and procedures
- DESIRABLE: Trade Certificate or a recognised trade qualification and the ability to read and interpret building plans and specifications (pool fencing, retaining walls, contours and the like).

**Essential**:
1. Demonstrated ability to complete the Swimming Pool Assessments, Compliance and Safety Awareness Course, or equivalent within 3 months of appointment dependent on course availability.
2. Demonstrated ability to understand, and the capacity to apply, legislation, policy and procedures.
3. Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised and prioritise workloads.
4. Ability to work as part of a team which includes consultation, sharing of information and working collaboratively.
5. Competence in conflict resolution, and written and verbal communication skills.
6. Competence in the use of computer systems.
7. Good customer service skills including conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
8. Demonstrated effective time management and prioritisation skills with the ability to balance competing workloads and deliver inspection targets within set timeframes.
9. Current Vehicle Licence - Car.

**Desirable**:
10. Trade Certificate or a recognised trade qualification and the ability to read and interpret building plans and specifications (pool fencing, retaining walls, contours and the like).
11. WorkCover OHS Induction Training for Construction Work.
