Our collaborative approach and technical expertise allow us to deliver innovative, buildable designs on time and within budget.Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Road Designer / Civil Design Engineer with 8–10 years of experience to join our Sydney team .
You'll work across a diverse range of civil infrastructure projects, including urban and regional roads, airport facilities, construction staging, bridges, and car parks.This is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for delivering detailed designs, managing design processes, and working closely with both clients and project teams to ensure successful outcomes.Key Responsibilities: Lead and deliver road, drainage, and pavement designs from concept through to detailed designManage design packages, ensuring compliance with TfNSW, council, and relevant Australian standardsOversee and coordinate multidisciplinary inputs including staging, bridges, and associated civil worksLiaise with clients, stakeholders, and contractors to clarify requirements and resolve design issuesUndertake design management, QA processes, and coordination with draftersProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and draftersPrepare design reports, cost estimates, and supporting project documentationQualifications: 8–10+ years' experience in road and civil design, ideally with exposure to varied project scalesProficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D (or equivalent) for road, drainage, and pavement designStrong understanding of TfNSW and local government standardsExperience managing design packages and coordinating multidisciplinary inputsExcellent communication skills and client-facing capabilityTertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or related disciplineWhy join the CJC team?
