The Opportunity:
We have a Casual, Part-Time, or Full-Time opportunity that is available for those with some level of experience with Gardens & Grounds Keeping to join the expanding team at McDonald's Toowoomba Region to assist with the development and maintenance of the gardens and grounds at our Toowoomba sites and to assist with basic building and plant maintenance as opportunity requires.

The Duties:
The position will report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor & The Chief Operating Officer and responsibilities will include:

- Maintain the gardens, lawns, and hedges at the 8 sites - You will be provided with a company vehicle for your movements around each restaurant in the Toowoomba Region, you are further paid for all travel time as time worked.
- Operate in a safe manner, placing your safety and the safety of others first and foremost
- Maintain and tidy all areas around buildings and traffic areas
- Assist with general and basic handyman maintenance duties of buildings and structures
- Operate and maintain push mowers, brush cutters, blowers, spray units, and other outdoor power equipment
- Control weed growth either manually or chemically as demand requires
- Assist with other general plant duties if required.

Person Requirements:
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:

- Some level of Garden, lawn, horticulture, agriculture, or landscaping experience or eagerness to learn and develop on your experience levels in the above mentioned.
- A high commitment to quality and excellence
- The ability to self-manage and plan work duties to ensure objectives are met
- Operator experience with a range of outdoor power equipment
- A sound mechanical aptitude with the ability to service and maintain outdoor power equipment - (Not essential - We can and will train you)
- Sound general handyperson skills
- A Manual Drivers Licence is preferred

The Pay & Conditions

An Award based salary package our hourly rate of pay will be negotiated with the successful Applicant that will reflect the qualifications, experience, and skills being offered.

Your Hourly Rate can range from $25.00 per hour - $29 per hour.

You will be provided with all the tools and equipment needed for you to complete the required daily tasks.

You will be provided with a Company Vehicle for travel between all 8 sites that will require some level of maintenance each week.

We are extremely flexible with the arrangement of your hours and your shifts, talk to us about what works best for you in regard to which days you work and when.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Casual

Pay: Up to $30.10 per hour
