Job Summary:

The Maintenance General Hand will join our team at a 26,500 capacity feedlot located in Queensland, Australia.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic maintenance environment with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.

As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for carrying out various tasks including general maintenance, fault finding, yard building, plumbing and pump repairs, and concrete works.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out general maintenance tasks and fault finding as required
  • Erect steel yard fencing and repair/maintain existing fencing
  • Repair and maintain plumbing and pumping systems
  • Carry out basic concrete works and repairs
  • Liaise and work with contractors and suppliers when required
  • Comply with policies and procedures
  • Work safely to prevent injuries and lost time

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience working in a maintenance or similar role
  • Proven experience in yard building, plumbing and pump repairs, and laying concrete
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Sound communication and interpersonal skills
  • Sound understanding and knowledge of safe work practices
  • Previous plant and machinery operation experience advantageous but not essential
  • A rural background and understanding of livestock desirable
