Bay Building Services is a market leader when it comes to insurance building in Australia. Operating nationally, for 35+ years we specialise in repairs to domestic and commercial properties damaged through insurable events such as fire, storm, flood, impact and malicious damage.
**About the role**
A fantastic fixed term opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced Construction Project Administrator you will require strong understanding of computers and systems, knowledge of the building and construction industry combined with a high level attention to detail. You will be working closely and supporting Project Managers and Supervisors with administration duties through project execution and completion to ensure the desired outcome. Projects will range in value from $50k to $5 Million.
**Key activities**
- Management of projects in project management system (Procore)
- Support Project Managers and Supervisors in all project requirements
- Administering, sending quote requests and reviewing/assessing returned quotes
- QBCC, Qleave payments and requirements
- Drafting/reviewing contracts
- Assist in project safety set up
- Administrator RFIs, EOTS,
- Trade packages, Tracking of budgets and project expenditures
- Coordinating the purchase and delivery of goods, materials and equipment
- Coordinating the timesheet process and reconciling
- Raising purchase orders to contractors and suppliers
- Coordinating Progress claims and run weekly WIP reports with project team
- Overseeing variations for projects and liaising with clients for approval
- Liaising with key stakeholders including the project team on administrative issues and potential issues
**Skills and Experience**
- Experience with Procore (desirable)
- Experience in domestic and commercial construction Project administration
- Thorough understanding of the construction process, methodology, critical inspection, required statutory compliance and WHS compliance.
- Understanding of relevant Building codes and Australian standards and State legislation
- Track record of establishing and maintaining long term relationships/accounts
- Strong, effective communication skills (written & verbal)
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to adhere to administration systems.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
