Overview
Drafter – Roads and Highways
role at SMEC. Location: Adelaide, South Australia, Australia. This opportunity is with SMEC's Roads & Highways team.
Responsibilities
Assisting in the preparation of schematic and production drawings
Using standard and modified drafting methods/techniques to solve problems
Production of construction level documentation
Check print procedures
Issuing procedures
Vault data management processes
Revit structural modelling
Assume responsibility for the results of simple projects or sections under supervision
Liaise with stakeholders to obtain information required for drawings and documentation tasks
Carry out design tasks as directed to meet agreed outcomes and cost structure
Produce model and/or drawings to timeline
About You
Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree
5 years relevant drafting experience within the industry
Familiar with Civil Infrastructure and CADD technologies
Software: CADD technologies with emphasis on the Autodesk suite of products
Ability to self-manage and prioritise own workload
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work within a diverse and multi-disciplinary environment
Ability to adapt to changing situations
