It's an exciting time for tennis in Australia and we have ambitious plans to continue to grow the game from grassroots through to Grand Slam. We belief that playing makes life better and our goal is to make tennis more accessible, to more people, more often. To help us achieve this we are looking for a Club Development Officer to join our team at Tennis Victoria on a full time, permanent basis.

In this role you will deliver growth in tennis participation by supporting stakeholders and affiliates in the outstanding delivery of playing opportunities in the Metro Inner East Region (Melbourne). The role will ultimately support the implementation of the national, state, and regional tennis plans and play an integral role in building sustainable pathways for club-based tennis.

- in this role you will:_
- Partner with clubs to develop and implement a holistic plan to inspire, connect and retain tennis players/consumers
- Develop positive relationships with club and association personnel within the region to influence, adopt and drive change
- Provide tools and advice across areas such as management/governance, coaching/programs, competitions and facility development
- Educate and support clubs to create marketing materials and utilise digital platforms to better connect and engage with existing and potential consumers to build tennis participation
- Collaborate with clubs and coaches to promote and create sustainable, inclusive initiatives that engage diverse communities in tennis
- Work with the Positive Start Schools team and Coaching teams, maximise the connection between local schools and clubs and facilitate the integration of school to club initiatives to drive the transition of youth
- Undertake regular travel to service allocated portfolio of clubs - using own vehicle & being reimbursed for travel

About you
- What you will bring to the role:_
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work with a variety of stakeholders including volunteers, coaches, associations and local government agencies
- Proven ability to influence change and drive behaviour of stakeholders towards a common goal
- Demonstrated understanding of sports administration, ideally through volunteer experience in club or association level community sport
- Ability to take initiative, work creatively, set priorities and meet deadlines
- A current driver's licence and motor vehicle
- You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check
