The Opportunity
As an experiencedCommercial Analyst,you will be aligned with the Cleanaway Daniels business function and the lynchpin partnering with the nationally dispersed business units.
You will work on various commercial initiatives, such as interpreting intricate and complex tenders, preparing pricing, managing supplier term agreements and related adjustments.
This is a 12-month fixed term opportunity.
Responsibilities
Partner with project and sales management teams to maintain customer rate cards for pricing requests outside the rate card's usage.
Undertake detailed analytical evaluations on various strategic and operational projects related to contracts and price adjustments, including identifying project and site EBIT leakage opportunities, running analyses, and presenting recommendations.
Undertake pricing analysis to identify trends and opportunities, prepare monthly reporting and create dashboards.
Continuously evaluate opportunities to enhance business initiatives and process capabilities to maximise effectiveness.
About You
A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g., finance, science, economics, commerce) is essential.
Equally crucial is at least three years of hands-on experience in a commercial analyst role or a position with significant commercial exposure.
This role requires more than traditional finance expertise; we are looking for candidates who have actively applied their financial skills in a commercial context to drive business outcomes.
Strong commercial and analytical skills with proficiency in financial modelling, data analysis, reporting tools and dashboards.
Demonstrated intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
Honed ability to decipher intricate contractual language, discerning the commercial ramifications of each clause, and conducting commercial analyses relating to contracts and pricing adjustments
Exemplary personal presentation skills, strong written and verbal communication abilities, and a keen awareness of commercial business needs and their impact on success.
A proven track record in managing projects and optimising business processes, with the technical expertise to analyse outcomes, identify areas for improvement, and present data-driven insights to leadership teams.
