Job Description

The Commercial Analyst role will involve but not be limited to:
  • Budgeting & forecasting
  • Business Partnering with key stakeholders
  • Develop financial models
  • Conduct business studies on past, future and comparative performance and develop forecast models
  • Identify trends, advise the company on financial matters and assist in drafting business plans
  • Analyse the financial details of past, present, and expected operations to identify development opportunities and areas where improvement is needed
  • Product costing & inventory analysis
  • Providing in-depth analysis to supply chain and procurement
  • Assist management in decision-making processes
  • Collaborate with executive team members on strategic financial planning (5 & 10 year)
  • Other ad hoc reporting and month end activities

The Successful Applicant

A Successful Commercial Analyst Should Have
  • Relevant qualifications in Finance, Business, Economics or related field
  • CPA/CA qualification ideal
  • Experience with a large ERP - SAP, Oracle
  • Manufacturing / FMCG / retail / Agri experience ideal
  • Advanced excel skills
  • SQL experience (ideal) or openness to learn and develop
  • Proficiency in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office and financial software applications
  • Outstanding presentation, reporting and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability in process improvement and strategic planning
  • Excellent analytical mindset with good problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
