With so much opportunity and growth, 'People' are and will be our most critical component and your role will be to strategically lead and drive the acquisition of the best talent and optimise their skills and potential once they are here.

This is a new leadership role in the People team that is tasked with developing and deploying a 'Workforce Solutions' model through synergising our approach to talent acquisition and learning/development.

You will bridge the gap between where we are now and where we aim to be by supporting the Group Manager - People on a strategic front, balanced with the management of tactical talent acquisition and L&D services to our operations.

**WHAT YOU'LL DO**

Your willingness to create something new, think strategically and practically at the same time, as well as adapting and adjusting in a fast-paced evolving environment will see you primarily accountable for:

- Leading and supporting 2 high performing teams (Talent Acquisition and Learning & Development)
- Strategic implementation and management of the 'Workforce Solutions' model
- Future proofing our Talent Acquisition roadmap
- Delivering year-on-year workforce growth targets
- Driving and optimising our Capability Development offerings (L&D) - including embedding a 'Grow Your Own' approach in trades and engineering
- Implementation of an integrated and systematic approach to competency management
- Deployment and expansion of an 'Ampcontrol Training Centre' (specialised technical skills)
- Increased employee engagement scores in relation to training and career development

**WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR**

***As a seasoned HR/OD or L&D professional your success in this role will be supported by:

- Being a leader that can listen and question why things are done the way they are
- Have an ability to find a balance between systemisation and agility to make new things happen/deliver meaningful outcomes
- An understanding of/proven experience with contemporary talent acquisition strategies
- Extensive knowledge of learning frameworks, competency management and learning management systems
- Advanced communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal)
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders, ensuring successful relationships are developed and maintained
- A flexible and pragmatic approach to solutions and everchanging business needs
