**Who we are**

Residing within Supply Chain Management, the Planning & Purchasing team has accountability for providing the development and execution of supply chain demand management, inventory management and purchasing to enable business growth and sustainability. These strategic and tactical functions are delivered through; modelling, forecasting, supply chain planning and inventory management.

**The Opportunity**

We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Professional to join our Planning & Purchasing team as the Supply Chain Services Manager for the C-17 Program at Royal Australian Air Force **(RAAF) Base Amberley**. This role is responsible for the leadership and coordination of the C-17 program's supply chain function as well as the coordination and tasking of imbedded supply chain personnel. Successful Supply Chain activities for this heavy airlift fleet, which directly support our Commonwealth Defence customer, enable high rates of aircraft availability and operational readiness.

**Responsibilities**
- Manage and mentor cross-functional supply chain teams conducting program activities and improvement initiatives
- Promote our continued drive for supply chain excellence, focusing on contract performance, governance, continuous improvement, safety and quality
- Build and sustain positive relationships, influence key stakeholders and suppliers
- Develop and manage Defence Management Financial Plan (DMFP)
- Provide independent supply chain guidance and advice to the program and leaders
- Assist with the engagement, growth and sustainable performance of suppliers and sub-contractors to deliver on business commitments
- Build and execute continuous improvement strategies aligning with program and capability
- Project manage and solve complex supply chain problems in support of customer requirements
- Develop, monitor, report and perform to relevant supply chain KPIs to compliment customer requirements

**Experience/Qualifications**
- Demonstrated experience working within dynamic global supply chains
- Experience in executing acquisition or sustainment projects within MRO industry
- Tertiary qualifications and/or 10+ years' experience, or equivalent combination within supply chain industry
- Defence supply chain knowledge desirable, but not essential.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams inside and beyond supply chain services environments.
- Experience engaging with and managing subcontractors and contract managers.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, foster and maintain customer and stakeholder relationships
