**About the team**
The Marketing team at Airwallex drives brand awareness and customer engagement through innovative and strategic campaigns. **What you'll do**
As the SEO Content Editor and Strategist for Australia & New Zealand at Airwallex, you will lead the strategy and execution of content designed to drive organic growth through SEO and establish brand authority in the global fintech space. Reporting to the Marketing Director and working closely with the Global SEO and Content Teams, you will own the development of high-impact content that not only ranks but also resonates—turning Airwallex into a go-to resource for businesses navigating cross-border payments, financial operations, and fintech solutions.
You will be responsible for crafting a SEO-first content strategy that improves our discoverability, enhances our domain authority, and ultimately converts organic traffic into customers. Your work will bridge the gap between content marketing, brand storytelling, and demand generation, ensuring that every piece of content contributes to Airwallex's broader business goals.
The role is based in Sydney.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop and execute a content strategy that fuels organic growth through SEO-driven methodologies, improving Airwallex's search rankings and online authority.- Lead the creation of high-quality, search-optimised content across formats including blogs, linkable assets and landing pages to attract and engage target audiences.- Work closely with global SEO specialists, product marketers, and demand generation teams to align content with keyword strategies, search intent, and conversion goals.- Establish Airwallex as a thought leader, ensuring our content communicates expertise in all aspects of product offering.- Optimise existing content for search performance, readability, and user engagement, ensuring best practices in SEO, metadata, and linking strategies.- Partner with PR, social, and product marketing teams to amplify content reach and integrate storytelling across channels.- Leverage analytics tools to measure content performance, report on key metrics (organic traffic, keyword rankings, engagement, conversions), and make data-driven improvements.- Stay ahead of industry trends, algorithm updates, and competitor strategies to continuously refine and innovate our content approach.- Manage relationships with external writers, agencies, and freelancers to scale content production without sacrificing quality.
**Who you are**
We're looking for people who meet the minimum qualifications for this role. The preferred qualifications are great to have, but are not mandatory.
**Minimum qualifications**:
- 5+ years of experience in SEO strategy and SEO content creation, ideally within fintech, SaaS, or B2B technology.- Proven track record of driving organic growth through SEO-focused content strategies, including experience with keyword research, on-page optimization, and content performance analysis.- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complex financial topics into clear, engaging, and actionable content.- Experience collaborating with growth, demand gen, and product marketing teams to align content with business objectives.- Strong analytical mindset, with proficiency in SEO and content performance tools.- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, managing multiple projects and stakeholders while maintaining high-quality output.- A keen understanding of brand positioning, thought leadership, and the role content plays in shaping a company's reputation.- Bachelor's degree
