**Engineering Systems Risk Officer**

Location: Sydney, Australia

**Working Right Requirements: Australian Citizenship (mandatory)**

The Engineering Systems Risk Officer position is a great pathway for ex-ADF personnel to grow their **risk assessment capabilities** and **stay connected within the Defence industry** from a below-the-line position. It is also a great role for those looking to make a career change from technical hands-on roles to a managerial and advisory position.

The Engineering Systems Risk Officer will support a team of ADF experts for a key Maritime Government Defence Project. This role is preferably performed on a **full-time permanent** basis however contract options may be discussed.

By taking up this opportunity, you will immerse yourself in the Australian Defence Industry, growing connections with **leading Engineering and ADF experts**. You will be allowed to showcase your **maritime Defence and risk assessment expertise**. This includes providing guidance on risk management plans and supporting the team in meeting seaworthiness requirements and compliance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare the development of risk management plans surrounding engineering and technical capabilities, data management and security
- Drive continuous improvement through the collection of risk response feedback and advise of solutions for mitigating and reducing risk impact
- Meet risk rating targets to reduce bottlenecks within workflow
- Support the Project Team with achieving compliance assurance objectives

SKILLS & EXPERINECE NEEDED
- ** Australian Citizenship with a minimum Baseline AGSVA Active Security Clearance**:

- 2 years minimum experience working in Engineering, Technician or Supervisory positions
- 3 years minimum experience working within Naval Defence projects
- Tertiary education in **Disciplines involving Risk Management** is desired.
- Prior experience with **Risk Management tools** including TRMS (Technical Risk Management Systems) is desired.
- Excellent documentation and oral communication skills
