**The Company**
A global leader in identity authentication and verification technologies with global presence across the government and private sectors. Their products are across ID Cards and Credentials (Digital & Physical) technologies, Identity Authentication & Verification Readers, Biometrics and other security solutions.

**The Position**
The Regional Sales Manager position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Head of Sales, APAC. You will be responsible in new business development and account management within government sector across Australia and APAC region.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Contribute to the development and execution of the sales plan (owned by the Head of Sales, APAC) for issuance of identity credentials, both digital and physical, in the assigned territories.
- Carry out effective new business development and account management of both government customers and local/regional intermediaries who may be customers for products and services, implementation partners or agents.
- Recommend appropriate solutions to government customers, lead opportunity development, track bid progress, and conduct negotiations to close business.
- Collect information and build up a comprehensive picture of the government and competitive landscape in the assigned countries for all target programs (Passport, Driving License, National ID, Voter Registration, health cards, etc)
- Drive all internal sales activities including specification writing, prospecting, proposal coordination, contract preparation, negotiations, and closing.
- Attend regional and global trade shows and conferences, and to participate in these events as speakers, panelists or moderators offering trusted expert and industry opinion.

**Key Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science or Business.
- 5+ years of experience selling complex solutions to government clients and agencies.
- Must be able to demonstrate a track record of sales achievement
- Exposure to regional markets (APAC) is essential.
- Market knowledge and experience in the citizen identity, public safety, biometrics and closely adjacent markets is desirable.
- Strong presentation and analytical skills.
- Ability to create and effectively communicate strategies for the territory, and have a strong appreciation of how solutions are driven by geopolitical, macro-economic, technical feasibility, and other factors.
- Able to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards.
- The ability and willingness to travel to APAC region as required.

**Salary Package**: $135K Base + Super + Comms (OTE $200K uncapped)
