Overview
We are seeking Environmental Services Assistants to work across operating suites at Wollongong Private Hospital. These are permanent part-time positions on a 7-day rotating roster. The role supports a high standard of cleanliness in the operating theatres and contributes to quality patient care.
Responsibilities
Maintain high standards of cleanliness in operating theatres
Clean, restock and store all equipment used on shifts in the appropriate storage areas
Uphold infection control standards by adhering to standard protocols and any additional precautions
Dispose of soiled general and clinical waste
Work in a friendly and supportive manner at all times
Maintain communication with nursing staff and other stakeholders to support quality clinical outcomes
Report to the Hotel Services Manager and work with the Department Manager, Team and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of patient care aligns with hospital values
Skills And Experience
Punctual, reliable and committed to genuine, friendly customer service
Previous experience in a hospital environment is advantageous but not essential
Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus
Compliance with Workplace Health and Safety and Infection Control
Experience in cleaning services
Team player who works well in a large team
Attention to detail and pride in work
Self-motivated and able to work effectively while following instructions and infection prevention controls
Availability to work across a 7-day rotating roster

Requirements
Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases
