As we strive to protect the health of our community, we are seeking an organised and skilled professional to support our environmental programs. This role will involve surveillance of retail food premises, public health facilities, on-site wastewater management systems, and water quality management.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for investigating environmental health complaints, preparing and conducting surveys, and assisting with referral assessments for Development Applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementing inspection programs for on-site wastewater management
  • Assisting with referral assessment for Development Applications
  • Preparing and conducting surveys, monitoring programs or assessments relating to potential pollution

Requirements:

  • A degree level qualification in Environmental Health or a related field
  • Three years' experience in environmental health and inspections in a local government environment
  • Demonstrated skills and knowledge in environmental health
