Drive Project Success
Our Canberra office is seeking a skilled Cost Manager to provide expert services across various stages of construction projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering accurate cost plans and budgets for large-scale projects.
Developing and maintaining detailed cost plans from initial concept through to project completion.
Conducting thorough risk assessments and value engineering exercises to optimise project costs.
Preparing and analysing tender documentation, including bills of quantities and schedules of rates.
Negotiating with contractors and suppliers to ensure best value for clients.
Monitoring and reporting on project costs, including cash flow forecasting and cost-to-complete analyses.
Liaising with clients, contractors, and other consultants to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will require:
A recognised degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or similar field.
3-10+ years of experience in cost management roles, ideally in a consultancy environment.
Previous experience working on construction projects for government agencies such as the Department of Education, Defence, and Health (highly desirable).
Experience liaising or managing clients, contractors, and consultants.
Preferable RICS and/or AIQS accreditation.
Proficiency in CostX software.
