The opportunity
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Investigations professional to join our Group team. Reporting into the Head of Group Investigations you will provide high quality Line 2 oversight via intelligence, advice and support to the AUSPAC business regarding internal fraud, Anti-Bribery and Corruption, and AML/CTF.
In this role you will lead the investigation of internal and external (non-claims) misconduct matters related to the protection of QBEs Brand and reputation.
Your new role- End to end management of investigations that relate to mattes of suspected or identified incidents of internal or external (non-claims) related fraud, misconduct, dishonesty, or theft, across including employees, Brokers, ARs, contractors, suppliers.- Implement agreed protocols for interviewing employees, or those representing QBE, ensuring natural justice and procedural fairness are afforded to all participants.- Prepare Brief of Evidence, Statements or Affidavits on behalf of QBE, and where necessary represent QBE in criminal prosecution and civil court matters.- Completion of final reports identifying investigation outcomes, recommendations for action and identified causes of fraud.- Develop an understanding of our internal business and systems to accurately detect internal fraud- Provide analytical insights on basic/initial research findings from other areas of the business, drawing upon knowledge and experience of criminal and fraudulent activity specific to states and regions across the AUSPAC business.
About you- Significant prior experience in financial services, investigating fraud and/or financial crime. Experience working within the insurance industry would also be highly advantageous- Broad understanding of fraud and financial crime identification, Investigation management and prevention frameworks- Ability to think strategically and network with all areas of the business- Ability to negotiate and communicate with both internal and external stakeholders- Excellent communication and planning skills, along with high attention to detail- A solid understanding of the insurance industry, criminal and legal frameworks
