Event Planner

HeadBox is on the hunt for an Event Planner to join our rapidly expanding team.

The Role
The Event Planner role will be based in Melbourne however, you will create event proposals Australia-wide (and sometimes, internationally).
We are looking for someone ambitious, a self-starter, a problem solver, and ready to get stuck in
This role will require a minimum of three years' events experience (be that event sales, venue side or event/travel management).
Confidence and organisation will be key to this role, as you will correspond with a multitude of senior stakeholders and manage multiple events and tasks.
Responsibilities
Event Proposals:this is a 360 role whereby you will be qualifying the clients' brief, creating bespoke event proposals based on the clients' needs, taking the client on site visits (if applicable), negotiating costs with venues/suppliers and confirming the booking, within set deadlines.
Client Pitches:you will have to present and pitch your event proposal to stakeholders with confidence and credibility, whilst handling their feedback and objections, and providing creative solutions.
Sales Delivery:you will be responsible for delivering monthly sales targets via yourevents pipeline.
We are looking for someone commercially minded to be confident in up-selling other departments of the business such as suppliers, event management, and HeadBox Business to corporates.
Excellent Customer Service:we put clients at the centre of everything we do,including delivering brilliant customer service at every touchpoint.
Excellent written and verbal skills and attention to detail are essential.
Client & Venues Relationships:building and retaining strong relationships with your clients & venues will be at the centre of your role.
Requirements
Willingness to learn:there is a lot to learn about the industry, ourtechnology, and our client base, so a desire to learn is essential for the role.
Attention to detail:you'll be dealing with multiple events at any one time so it is imperative you are detail-oriented and organised.
Hardworking:at a start-up you will be required to wear many hats, balancing lots of responsibilities at once and have a can-do attitude.
