Responsibilities
Be the welcoming voice of the organisation by delivering exceptional customer service when responding to external and internal telephone enquiries with professionalism, warmth and efficiency.
Assist with managing patient data for admissions, bed transfers and discharges using hospital administration systems (PAS) in accordance with NSW Health and NBMLHD guidelines.
Contribute to a fast-paced, accurate handling of information to support hospital operations and patient care.
What You Will Bring To The Role
The ability to work constructively, cooperatively and efficiently with both internal and external clients.
A high level of keyboard, PC, database and general clerical skills with strong attention to detail.
Demonstrated high level of organisational skills with the ability to meet tight timeframes and prioritise workload.
Ability to work varied shifts, including evenings, nights, public holidays and weekends.
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with experience working in a networked PC environment.
Previous experience in a similar hospital or health facility-based position.
Switchboard and reception experience for a large organisation.
Demonstrated ability in the use of tact, diplomacy, confidentiality and discretion.
