Our opportunity
As a Services Design Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting the building services lead and project architect through all phases of project delivery.
This is a unique opportunity to grow, working with a large team of experts and seeing first-hand how modern buildings are designed and constructed.
**Your responsibilities will include**:
Responsible for ensuring that all building services are coordinated between services, structure and architecture.
Assist with the briefing, tendering and engagement of all Design Consultants.
Support the Services Design Lead and the Project Architect on services requirements during all phases of the project delivery.
Attend Design and consultant coordination meetings.
Support clash resolution within clash coordination sessions.
Manage and file documentation issues by consultants, ensuring they issue electronic files in the appropriate manner.
Review consultant output and sub-contractor shop drawings for general compliance with the design brief and project design requirements.
Review general arrangement of services prior to release of Planning approval.
Act as facilitator to resolve coordination issues that arise between services, structure and architectural finishes and layouts.
Coordinate consultant input in project cost planning process.
Review and check tender package content for scope of work, product usage and design logic.
Review submitted tenders with Project Architect, Services design lead and Pre-Construction team to ensure compliance with agreed project brief.
Your point of difference
You should also possess a foundation in financial, commercial, and legal aspects relevant to engineering and construction projects, as well as building compliance knowledge.
**Key skills and experience**:
Relevant tertiary Qualifications
Experience in coordinating building services according to the design brief
Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple stages of projects
Strong understanding of building compliance requirements
Proficiency in digital coordination tools (e.g. Revizto, Navisworks)
Creativity and a strong interest in building services
