**Position Overview**
The Information Management Support Officer is responsible for a range of information management support activities, including: advising and assisting staff to use the Information Management System (IMS) to create folders and upload and use information assets; carry out complex research/search requests; and prepare physical records for their storage, transfer, retrieval, return.
The Information Management Support Officer will assist the Information Managers with information governance activities such as sentencing and disposal of records, preparing guidelines, processes and self-help documentation for staff and presenting training to staff, as required.
The Information Management Support Officer must work within legislative requirements and provide effective and efficient assistance to all Court locations. Experience in using and supporting staff in the use of information or records management systems, as well as excellent communication skills, including excellent written skills, are essential.
Qualification in information or records management would be well regarded.

**Duties**
- Assist and support staff in their use of the Court's Information Management System (IMS).
- Undertake a range of IMS tasks related to information governance of Corporate Services, Courts and Tribunal records (digital and physical).
- Triage, monitor and assign support requests received via the Information Management Helpdesk.
- Advise staff in the preparation, storage, retrieval, return and transfer of records.
- Assist Information Managers in providing advice, guidance and training in information management responsibilities, policies, standards and processes to staff.
- Draft guidelines, processes and self-help documents that assist staff to perform their information management responsibilities.
- Assist with the digitisation of records in-house or prepare records to be digitised with an approved external provider ensuring that digitised copies meet the Court's standards.
- Assist with the drafting of reports to meet external reporting requirements.
- Provide support to the Information Management team related to information management tasks and projects.

**Selection Criteria**
- Demonstrated experience in using an IMS within a legal environment.
- Demonstrated experience in assisting and supporting staff in the use of an IMS.
- Sound understanding of relevant legislative requirements and Commonwealth standards.
- Ability to undertake information governance activities, particularly with sentencing and disposal.
- Demonstrated experience advising staff regarding secondary and archive storage, digitisation and information polices and processes.
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a small team, to take initiative, and be discreet.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
