- About the role_
As the Master Service Plan Officer, you are integral to the success of V/Line's Network Development and Maintenance (NDAM) Group.
The Master Service Planning Officer is responsible for assisting in the development and management of the V/Line rail and coach passenger timetables, ensuring they meet passenger, operational, regulatory, and performance requirements. This role also involves coordinating fleet plans and supporting master freight scheduling on the V/Line network.
- Key Accountabilities include:_
- Developing Master Timetables:
- Research, plan, and develop master timetables for V/Line passenger services (rail and coach), incorporating feedback and meeting operational and regulatory requirements.
- Combine RailSys modelling outputs, DTP scope, and V/Line performance requirements to build operationally sound, passenger-focused rail timetables.
- Administering and Evaluating Timetables and Fleet Plans: Administer the master timetable and fleet plan and evaluate its operation using advanced analytical techniques.
- Supporting Timetable Changes: Provide input and support for the development and implementation of changes to the timetable and/or fleet plan.
**About you**
- Demonstrated alignment to V/Line's values of responsiveness, integrity, impartiality, accountability, respect, leadership and human rights.
- Experience in a rail planning environment, ideally in coach and bus planning.
- A Familiarity with rail fleet planning software and rail modelling and simulation software is advantageous.
- Analytical Skills - Capability in advanced data analytics using programming languages
- Attention to Detail - Demonstrated high levels of accuracy and precision.
- Interpersonal Skills - Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
