Are you a skilled Youth Officer, experienced in working with a diverse range of young people and looking for your next challenge?

There is an opportunity for a part-time Youth Officer to join our Youth Centre team at the Rockingham Youth Centre.

You possess extensive experience engaging with diverse young people aged 12-24, both individually and in groups, through facilitating programs, activities and events. Committed to fostering positive change and community growth, you excel in building rapport with young people and involve them in developing youth initiatives. Your strong interpersonal skills ensure effective communication and adherence to duty of care standards, safeguarding guidelines and the Youth Work Code of Ethics with a sensitive and supportive approach.
- Progress towards or qualification in Youth Work (or relevant discipline)
- Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills, especially the ability to communicate and relate with young people from a range of diverse backgrounds
- Experience in development and delivery of recreational or social programs for young people
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of the Youth Work Code of Ethics, child safeguarding principles and the duty of care requirements for young people

**We are offering a gross salary of $74,999 per annum pro rata and**
- 11% superannuation plus the opportunity to co-contribute
