In this role, you will play a vital part in enriching the daily lives of our residents by preparing and serving high-quality, nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences.
Working closely with both the Hotel Services and Care teams, you'll help create a positive and welcoming dining experience by ensuring safe food handling, professional service, and attention to detail.
We offer both part-time and casual shifts throughout the week, providing flexible scheduling to suit your lifestyle.What You'll DoPrepare and serve fresh, high-quality meals aligned with individual care plansAssist with modified texture and special diet mealsEnsure meals are well-presented and contribute to a positive dining experienceMaintain food safety, hygiene, and documentation standardsRotate stock and keep work areas clean and organisedRespond to consumer feedback and support continuous improvementWork respectfully and professionally with consumers and team membersPerform other duties as required to support catering servicesWhat You'll Bring:Experience in a similar catering, hospitality, or kitchen assistant role (aged care experience highly regarded)Certificate III in Hospitality, Food Services or Health Support (desirable)Ability to deliver respectful, person-centred service aligned with individual dietary needsCompetence in using commercial kitchen equipment and following food safety proceduresStrong teamwork, communication, and time management skillsAwareness of hygiene, food safety, and infection control practicesSpecial Conditions:This is an NDIS risk-assessed role – a current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance is requiredCandidates will be subject to a pre-employment medical assessmentMust follow safe work practices, including manual handling and chemical safetyFlexibility to work across a range of shifts and support multiple Lutheran Homes Group sites if requiredIn line with current health guidelines for the aged care sector, candidates are encouraged to have all recommended vaccinations.Why Join LHG?
