The Operations and Transformation change teams are a key part of the process improvement apparatus of Financial Performance Management (FPM) and support the Head of FPM with driving the process improvement agenda for Decision Support activities across Finance.
This role acts as a global process expert for Planning, Outlook & Forecasting. These processes set the direction for the Bank, drive the Operating Plan approved by the Executive and Board of Directors and provide a critical control process to monitor performance, highlight risks and identify action required to course correct. This role enables FPM to achieve material process improvements in both the quality of outlook/plan and process productivity (such as improved cycle times)

What will your day look like

As a Process & Change Expert, you will act as a global process expert for Planning, Outlook & Forecasting. These processes set the direction for the Bank, drive the Operating Plan approved by the Executive and Board of Directors and provide a critical control process to monitor performance, highlight risks and identify action required to course correct. This role enables FPM to achieve material process improvements in both the quality of outlook/plan and process productivity (such as improved cycle times).

**Your key priorities and responsibilities include**:
Process Optimisation
Provide a deep understanding of the current Business Partner and FPM planning/outlook models.

Recommend, plan and oversee execution of initiatives to drive process improvements, including metric or data model standardisation and implementation of controls / governance driving:

- readiness for an investment in strategic tooling
- improved group analytics and outputs

Optimise and improve current Financial Outlook Reporting Tool (FORT) processes and reporting, ensuring support of ongoing outlook and planning schedules, adherence to practices established under the Performance Management Framework and effective working relationships with process owners throughout ANZ.

Recommend and support prioritisation of systems changes with the Financial Systems Data and Innovation (FSDI) team.

Transformation
Actively contribute to the implementation of a cloud-based strategic planning solution to replace the high dependency on decentralized Excel models and improve Decision Support capability and productivity.
- Co-ordinate an RFP and evaluation process
- Participate in model architecture and system design
- Work with the FSDI team to source historical data directly from the EDW (where feasible)
- Participate in determining the implementation phasing
- Provide support for testing and change management/user training activities
- Assist with transition of the solution to BAU support

What will you bring?

Ideally you would have some background in Business Partnering or FPM and these will be included in your toolkit:

- Stakeholder Management - Understand or able to elicit business decision support needs and engaged people and stakeholders to support the effective delivery of projects/initiatives
- Communication - Used your strong visual and written communication skills to communicate initiatives, projects, ideas or progress to senior stakeholders
- Finance Processing - understanding of Finance Decision Support processes including planning
- Systems & Tools - Familiarity with data concepts, data models, performance management information automation or exposure to best Finance planning tools would be an advantage
- Continuous/Process Improvement - Responsible for supporting continuous improvement initiatives across Finance, with a background in process optimization (e.g. lean/six sigma)
