**Operator**:
**About the role**:
Join a thriving market leading production network as a production operator. You will produce steel reinforcing for some of Australia's largest & most prestigious construction projects.

On any given day you will custom process, assemble, load & record reinforcing steel to a just in time production plan. Today's steel production will be ready for delivery tomorrow, no single day is the same.

**Day and Afternoon shift opportunities available, the working hours are Monday to Thursday 5:50am - 2:00pm or 1:50pm - 10:00pm with Early Friday finishes and over time available when required.**
- Use specialised production machinery & cranes to shape & transform reinforcing bar into custom designed shapes (full training provided)
- With the aid of drawings, program machinery to execute the required shape & quantity
- Follow loading plans to load trucks with the required steel, for the right time, in a manner safe for transport
- Work within the warehouse picking and packing orders
- Effectively work within a team environment to achieve production KPI's
- Take ownership of your machines results including output, downtime, quality & housekeeping

**About your experience**:
It's important that you have a belief that success comes from a team approach as you will be joining a leading site operation.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to learn quickly & be trained in new processes/systems
- A background in production operations would be highly regarded
- Ideally from the steel/heavy industry with previous machine or overhead crane operation experience
- Good verbal, literacy, numeracy & computer skills
- Strong commitment to the safety of yourself & team
- HR or HC licence and Forklift Ticket would be desirable
