Based in an outreach setting, we are looking for a **passionate and energetic**Family Counsellor to join our Breakthrough For Families (BFF) team part time, working two days per week, until June 30, 2025, with possibility of extension. Reporting to the Team Leader of the Breakthrough for Families, you will utilise a community development approach to:

- Provide brief intervention counselling to families and loved ones, aged 12 and up, who are impacted by someone's substance or alcohol use.
- Utilise clinical models of counselling to provide evidence-based practice and implement/review client service plans
- Deliver our pre-existing face-to-face and online information sessions to families, stakeholders, and broader community members, by offering education and support around drug and alcohol use
- Proactively network across the Brisbane Metro North/South region to ensure continuity of referrals
- Engage in stakeholder meetings to continuously promote the services offered by Lives Lived Well
- Be willing and able to complete outreach across the Brisbane Metro North/South Hospital and Health Service region
- Comfortably use programs such as Teams, Outlook, and client database systems

The role does offer a shared working vehicle across the Breakthrough for Families team and provides km reimbursement with the use of personal vehicles, if required. The role does require outreach to Lives Lived Well Offices or Community based outreach, therefore office 'base' and working days can be negotiated to the right applicant.

The part-time salary range for this position is $43.08 to $51.51 per hour, depending on skills, knowledge and experience.

**About you**

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Clinician with Tertiary qualifications in a related area/health services discipline and/or equivalent experience.

You will also demonstrate the following:

- Applied knowledge in family/AOD counselling practice and case management or the ability to acquire.
- Experience in developing and delivering therapeutic groups sessions with high-level group facilitation skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage own workload.
- Highly developed communication and community engagement skills.
- Knowledge of the local region is highly desirable.
- Hold a Blue Card (or ability to apply).
- Current unrestricted Australian Drivers License.
