Our mission to improve the quality of life for those we serve.About the roleWe currently have a position available for a reliable and passionate Companion carer to join our team inCootamundra, showing empathy and treating others with dignity and respect.
You'll also need to have a natural ability to build relationships that make a difference, be honest, helpful and dependable, making you a great asset to our team.
The role will vary between day and night shifts, so sleepover experience is essential.Responsibilities will include:Working within a person-centred, enabling environment that respects the rights and needs of each clientAssisting clients with daily errands, companionship and supportProviding support with academic, social or recreational activitiesPreparing meals as neededObserve, care and report any changes in the health and wellbeing of the clientResponding to emergency situationsWeekend and overnight shiftsExperience with people experiencing cognitive declineExcellent verbal and written communication skillsWillingness to learn, develop and take on new challengesExperience with sleepoversCurrent National Police CheckCurrent First Aid & CPR certificatesJob Type: CasualPay: From $40.93 per hourSchedule:12 hour shiftAfternoon shiftDay shiftMonday to FridayMorning shiftNight shiftWeekend availabilitySupplementary Pay:Penalty ratesApplication Question(s):Do you have experience in dealing with clients with cognitive decline?
