The Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV) is a jurisdiction within the Court Services Victoria statutory authority, and has a long history of providing justice for the people of Victoria in metropolitan and regional courts across the state.
The Court determines in excess of 300,000 cases per annum at 51 venues, equating to approximately 90 per cent of all cases that come before Victorian courts each year. The Court aims to be an innovative, accessible and responsive court that provides quality services to the Victorian community.
About the role
The Family Violence Practice Coordinator is responsible for contributing to best-practice family violence responses through providing family violence expertise and program management support on a wide range of family violence practice matters. The role works closely with the Family Violence Principal Practitioner and Family Violence Practice Managers to support the day-to-day operations of the Family Violence Practitioner workforce. The role is responsible to assist in the collection, monitoring, analysis, and resentation of data to support continuous improvement of the Court's response to family violence.
About you
- Contribute to the development and implementation of best practice procedures and standards for MCV Family Violence Practitioners in collaboration with Family Violence Practice Managers.
- Provide professional, best-practice family violence advice and expertise, across the FVPPU and broader Family Violence Branch.
- Lead stakeholder engagement and consultation activities to contribute to complex family violence projects and initiatives.
- Provide program/project management support to assist the Family Violence Practitioner workforce.
- Undertake research and analysis of data and information to proactively identify risks and/or issues relating to practice or service delivery gaps and provide advice to improve service delivery.
- Assist in the collection, monitoring, analysis, and presentation of service data.
- Support the Family Violence Practice Managers with recruitment processes and professional development for Family Violence Practitioners.
- Assist with procurement activities including supporting management of contracts and service level agreements and financial administration.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Undertake other duties commensurate to the classification of this role.
- Travel to other courts and locations for family violence related meetings and duties as required.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as social work, social science, public policy, project management, or equivalent experience.
