">The Magistrates' Court of Victoria is a jurisdiction within the Court Services statutory authority, and has a long history of providing justice for the people of Victoria.
We are seeking a Family Violence Specialist Remote Hearing Coordinator to join our team in implementing and delivering a Remote Hearing Support Service. The successful candidate will contribute to the implementation and delivery of RHSS at a local level by supporting affected family members to participate in their court matters remotely or from an alternate location to the court.
Key Responsibilities:
- SUPPORTING AFFECTED FAMILY MEMBERS: Provide non-legal information and support, risk assessment and safety planning including referrals to appropriate support services;
- BUILDING PARTNERSHIPS: Engage with local justice and community agencies in the region to identify alternate locations from which applicants can participate in hearings;
- PROVIDING TRAINING AND SUPPORT: Deliver training and support in navigating the court process to improve integrated service responses to family violence.
Requirements:
- EXPERIENCE IN FAMILY VIOLENCE SUPPORT WORK: You are an experienced family violence support worker with a passion for improving service delivery and enhancing court user experience;
- COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT SKILLS: You have experience in engaging effectively with stakeholders and community;
- INTEGRATED RESPONSES: You are interested in working across Courts and the community sector to help build a more integrated and supported response for people affected by family violence.
