**About your new role**

We are seeking a Safer Gaming Officer to join us in our Sydney or Brisbane team. You help to promote a culture of Safer Gaming awareness at The Star and will be a part of the ongoing management of Safer Gaming Compliance. By understanding our safer gaming policies and procedures you will promote harm minimisation throughout the organisation.

With a strong desire to ensure the safety of our team members, guests, and visitors you will work with the Safer Gaming team to develop and maintain our Safer Gaming Strategy, facilitate compliance with internal and external obligations and develop training material on safer gaming practices. You will identify opportunities to bring consistency to polices and processes at our properties, as well as assist in the preparation and maintenance of compliance reports and communications with both internal and external stakeholders.

**To be successful in this role you will have**:

- A proven track record of harm minimisation and using your emotional intelligence to keep people safe.
- Experience in data analysis and reporting as well as policy development and implementation.
- A strong understanding of Safer Gaming, operational requirements and the Casino Control Act is desirable.
- The ability to manage and communicate with staff members and promote positive employee relations as well as building strong relationships with business control functions to implement statutory processes.
- A qualification in a field with a research or analytical background is desirable.
