**Executive Officer - Full time permanent role working within Uniting's Social Impact and Advocacy Directorate Hybrid model**

As an Executive Officer for the Social Impact and Advocacy Directorate, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the implementation of Directorate strategies and managing content for committee and leadership meetings.

**Working three days a week from our Sydney CBD office at Pitt Street and two days remotely from home is the proposed arrangement. Flexibility is expected for occasional office attendance beyond the regular schedule.**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Serve as a valued advisor to the General Managers and Directorate leadership team, taking ownership of a diverse range of issues and projects.
- Act as a key liaison for the General Managers, fostering collaboration across Uniting and representing them on organisation-wide projects.
- Develop systems and processes for efficient flow of information to and from the General Managers and their direct reports.
- Project manage and contribute to General Manager-led engagements to achieve strategic and operational objectives.
- Organise, prepare agendas for, and take minutes at leadership and committee meetings, ensuring alignment with directorate and strategic initiatives.
- Prepare briefs, reports, and correspondence for the General Manager, conducting research and providing strategic advice.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Bachelor qualification in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- 7 or more years of experience in a related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated project management skills.
- Ability to work across all levels in a large, complex organisation.
- Strategic and tactical thinking.
- Ability to engage effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders, and high cultural sensitivity
- Proven experience working collaboratively with senior executives.
- Ability to 'manage up' with tact and sensitivity.
- Troubleshooting skills and adaptability.
- Intrinsic motivation with a commitment to continuous improvement.

**Even Better If**:

- Broad experience in advisory roles within government, business, or peak body organisations.
- Experience working in a values-based organisation.
- Understanding of the Uniting Church.
- Passion for social change and contributing to supporting the most disadvantaged in our communities.
