Reporting to the Director, Reform Office, you will establish and maintain networks with cross-system internal and external stakeholders, such as Primary Health Networks, the Commonwealth Department of Health and Aged Care, primary care providers, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Controlled Health Organisations. The primary focus will be on developing, implementing, and evaluating system-wide reform initiatives.

You will undertake complex project management activities to ensure the accurate and timely implementation and evaluation of reform initiatives in the Partnerships team. Additionally, you will be responsible for coaching, mentoring, and managing staff and resources to achieve defined project outcomes as needed. Furthermore, you will be involved in the preparation and review of high-level briefing documents, submissions, correspondence, and reports. You will possess excellent communication and writing skills to effectively convey complex information in a clear and concise manner. Strong organisational skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders are essential for success in this role.

To thrive in this position, it is crucial to possess strategic, conceptual, critical thinking, and analytical skills that are applicable to various areas of health reform. Demonstrated expertise in identifying, negotiating, influencing, and implementing solutions to intricate problems is essential. Effective written and verbal communication, consultation, and negotiation abilities are also required, including the capacity to create and deliver comprehensive reports on significant and complex policies and projects.

Furthermore, project management skills are vital, encompassing the ability to develop, implement, analyse, and evaluate time-sensitive, complex system-wide projects. Familiarity with national and state strategic directions and priorities concerning health system reform is an added advantage.
