We are looking for a **Lead, Strategy & Planning** to join our **Retail Planning and Operation** team. Reporting directly to the Head of Planning & Operations, you'll play a critical role, working across the breadth of the Retail Bank teams and leadership to set, track, monitor and optimise business performance. You'll play a pivotal role in the annual business planning and strategy process, and effective strategy execution during a period of significant growth for our organisation.

This role is responsible for leading strategy and business planning, prioritisation of change initiatives across Retail, undertaking deep dives and building capability to drive effective business performance. The role offers scope for leadership across pricing and revenue growth activities, performance forecasting and expense management and business planning and budgeting processes. With a growing business, this is a **_key leadership role working across Retail teams_** to uplift our capabilities in forecasting and performance monitoring, strategy development and strategic partnerships to achieve ambitious targets. Critical to the role is provision of analysis and insights both inside out and outside in to drive effective management decision making.

**What you'll do**

Lead the Planning and Performance team to:

- Lead the annual strategy, business planning, and budgeting process, coordinating with Retail teams, Finance, and executives.
- Oversee monthly forecasting for Retail, covering income, expenses, and customer metrics, aligning with growth targets.
- Monitor performance, provide analysis, ad hoc reporting, and insights to support Retail in meeting targets and KPIs.
- Collaborate with Tribes on business cases, strategic initiatives, and change investment prioritisation.
- Lead strategy presentations, input into business reviews, and support Retail Bank management.
- Enhance Retail capabilities in forecasting, pricing, P&L management, and strategy development
- Prepare and lead Retail offsites, workshops, and input for Executive Committees and Board presentations.
- Conduct ad hoc analyses, cross-functional initiatives, and assessments (e.g., P&L gaps, cost optimization, M&A).

Drive growth through identification and establishment of strategic partnerships and optimise relationships to meet key performance outcomes

**What we're looking for**
- Degree in Business, Marketing, or Finance
- 10+ years of experience in Strategy, Consulting, Business Development, or Business Management in financial services
- Experience managing strategic partnerships in a regulated industry
- Solid understanding of retail banking products, cost/revenue drivers, and financial performance levers
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Advanced financial modelling skills
- Proficient data visualisation, and presentation
- Excellent communication and stakeholder influencing skills
- Ability to critically review and challenge business cases and product proposals
- Proven ability to manage conflicting priorities across multiple stakeholders
- Extensive analytical and research skills, especially in market and competitor analysis
- Previous experience with financial models
- Advanced project management and organisational skills
- Business case development and market analysis
- Experience in an agile delivery environment (nice to have)
