In this critical role, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of complex mechanical engineering solutions that support our cutting-edge aerospace and defence projects.Your responsibilities will include:Key responsibilitiesOversee the design, development and implementation of mechanical systems and componentsLead a team of mechanical engineers to ensure projects design meets the customer needs.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems into larger system architecturesProvide technical leadership and mentorship to more junior members of the engineering teamEnsure compliance with all relevant safety, quality and regulatory requirementsIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivityAbout you:Degree in Mechancal/Mechartonic Engineering or a related field10+ years' experience as an Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineer, with a proven track record of leading complex projectsExtensive knowledge of mechanical design, analysis and testing and verification techniquesStrong problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skillsExcellent communication and stakeholder management abilitiesExperience working in the aerospace or defence industry is highly desirableAbility to obtain the necessary security clearancesSpecial Requirements:Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance and employment may be contingent on the provision of further personal information including citizenship to ensure compliance with international export control legislation and regulations.
