- **Band 5 Salary range between $37.69 - $43.03 per hour plus statutory superannuation**

**The Role**:
City of Ballarat are seeking a vibrant, experienced and motivated individual to provide direct support to families from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds as well as early childhood services to address engagement barriers and support transitions to school and ongoing participation in education.

Working with community members and stakeholders, you will use your understanding of the importance of the early years and CALD community needs to support access to inclusive early childhood services for parents, carers and young children.

As the Family Youth & Children Services (FY&CS) CALD Outreach Officer, you will be an experienced professional with skills in working with parents of children, particularly from diverse, minority or CALD backgrounds.

**What does my new role entail?**

Based at Parent Place and across the municipality, this role will be responsible for:

- Supporting successful registration and enrolment of CALD children in kindergarten and Pre-Prep.
- Helping to maximise CALD children's attendance at kindergarten and Pre-Prep.
- Engaging CALD children and their families in other early childhood supports in the Ballarat municipality, such as playgroups, Parent Place and Maternal and Child Health (MCH).
- Supporting CALD children to transition from kindergarten to school.
