Community Outreach Specialist

We are seeking an empathetic and self-motivated professional to deliver outreach support across the East Gippsland region, supporting individuals living with mental ill-health to achieve their recovery goals.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality services, case-managed responses, and facilitate positive experiences.
- Plan and deliver programs that aid people to build their skills and focus on recovery.
- Utilize strengths-based approaches to help individuals develop daily living skills, capacity, and resilience.
- Tertiary qualifications in Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or other health-related field.
- Expertise in working with individuals with mental health issues, complex needs, and interacting with families and carers.
- Experience applying therapeutic approaches such as trauma-informed care, cognitive behavioural therapy, motivational interviewing, harm reduction, and family-inclusive practice.
- A willingness and ability to work with diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- A strong understanding of recovery-oriented practice and its application in a community setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
