Account Manager

Selection Steel is one of Australia's leading sheet and coil steel suppliers into the building products, laser cutting, fabrication, engineering and manufacturing sectors. With the business trading strongly and continuing to grow, we are inviting applications from energetic and passionate customer service focused candidates to join our sales organisation operating out of our Brisbane office.

Supported by an experienced local and national team, the primary objectives of this role are to exceed sales targets, build and maintain relationships with our current customer base and develop opportunities with new customers in Queensland. Selection Steel is proud of its high level of customer service and flexibility to meet and exceed customer's expectations, which is also an important part of this role.

Reporting to the State Sales Manager, the successful Account Manager will join our sales team undertaking the following duties:

  • Managing existing accounts and hunting for new business.
  • Forecasting and servicing customers requirements from quotation to supply.
  • Supporting the team to reach sales targets.
  • Answering customer enquiries via telephone and email.
  • Processing customer orders.
  • Filing quotes and ensuring purchase orders have been actioned.
  • Maintain CRM database with accurate and relevant customer information.
  • Following up quotations.
  • Territory Management.

Ideal candidates will hold the following skills and experiences:

  1. Exceptional organisational, planning and prioritisation skills.
  2. Outstanding communication skills across customer and internal departments.
  3. High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  4. Ability to meet deadlines.
  5. Highly motivated and ability to set goals.
  6. Competent computer skills (MS office required).

The following skills would be advantageous but not essential:

  • Knowledge of or experience in the Steel industry.
  • Sales and or customer service experience.
  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Immediate start.

Remuneration: Salary + Bonus incentives + Company vehicle + Tools of trade
