About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant or Senior Accountant to join our dynamic Business Services team based in the Melbourne CBD. This full-time role will see you providing high-quality accounting and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of clients across a range of industries.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing accurate and timely financial statements, BAS and other tax reporting for clients
  • Providing strategic business services including budgeting, forecasting and identifying opportunities for growth
  • Ensuring clients maintain compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations
  • Building strong relationships with clients and proactively identifying ways to add value
  • Supervising and mentoring junior team members
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of our service delivery and internal processes

What we're looking for

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting or a related field
  • CPA or CA qualification (or working towards)
  • 3+ years' experience in public practice or a similar business services role
  • Excellent technical accounting and tax knowledge, with a commercial mindset
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trusted advisor relationships
  • Demonstrable experience in managing a portfolio of clients and leading a team
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and a collaborative team culture
