Maintenance Officer

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (Include but not limited to:)
• Performs apartment and room maintenance checks and repairs
• Ensure all rooms are maintained to a 4.5 star standard ready for guest check in
• Maintains interior and exterior of common areas as required
• Maintains all resort equipment in working condition
• Maintains positive relations with other staff and management
• Provides ongoing maintenance checks to staff accommodation
• Interact with owners and guests in a polite and friendly manner
• Anticipate owner and guest needs and work proactively to meet and exceed expectations
• Be familiar with and adhere to legislative obligations/requirements and the Manager's Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures
• Work and behave in a way that does not endanger yourself or others in the workplace
• Report any unsafe practices, incidents or accidents on the appropriate forms to the OH&S Consultant immediately
• Employees must ensure they comply with Travel + Leisure's OH&S Policy, procedures and any reasonable instruction given by Travel + Leisure.
• Employees must not willfully place at risk the health and safety of themselves or any other persons in the workplace and to not willfully or recklessly interfere with or misuse anything provided for health and safety
• Display a Count on Me service to all internal and external parties.
• Display innovation through inspiring, creating and improving processes and products.
• Show integrity in all aspects of the position by doing the right thing, taking responsibility and delivering on the promise.
• Display leadership values by ensuring effective communication and respecting your peers and managers. Support others within the team and empower each other wherever possible.
• Carry out all landscaping requirements to maintain a high standard of resort grounds.
• Maintain nursery and growth of plants
• Performs daily dousing for insects
• Provides seasonal care for resort grounds
• Maintain all resort equipment in working condition
• Maintain positive relations with all other staff and management
• Removal of rubbish daily
• Responsible for providing a neat, professional appearance.
• Provides exceptional customer service to our owners and guests.
• Quality cleaning of all common areas, including sales offices, BBQs, pool area and recreation room
• Maintain adequate usage of materials inventory without wastage or inappropriate use and assist in performing monthly inventory and stock control.
• Actively participate in the Preventative Maintenance and Common Area Deep Clean Programs.
• Monitor all energy throughout the resort and assist in implementing energy cost savings.
• Assures that maintenance and cleaning supply inventory levels are maintained and communicate with the Maintenance Team Leader to update as needed.
• Participate in ongoing training and coaching with maintenance and resort staff to assure that facilities are maintained to Wyndham Standards and Consistency.
