medical receptionist

Gap Road Medical Centre has been operating in the Sunbury community for the last 25 years. We are a mixed billing centre with 15 Drs, Allied Health, Radiology, Pathology & some other specialists who consult here. We endeavor to continue to provide quality patient care to the community.

We are a busy clinic seeking an enthusiastic, friendly, driven, motivated, flexible & confident Medical Receptionist to join our tight nit team of nurses & reception staff. MUST be willing and able to work shift work, regularly available, show commitment to the job if they are given the role.

We will only be interviewing those who are shortlisted and able to work shift work. Please have a cover letter stating your availability for days, shifts & weekend work. We will not be shortlisting without this.

Qualifications & experience

• Experience with Medical Director, Pracsoft & or Best Practice
• First Aid/CPR current
• Experience in a GP setting is required
• Working with children's check that is current
• Police Check that is current
• Must have experience is the medical administration setting e.g. Hospital, ED, GP, Aged care.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Assisting Drs with administrative tasks
• Assisting with stocking & management of the Dr's rooms & supplies
• Assisting with walk ins & triage at the desk & over the phone
• Assisting external clinics/facilities with referrals, results, records
• Making bookings in person & over the phone.
• Liaising with patients, other clinics or facilities & Allied health
• Opening, closing & weekend shifts.
• MUST be regularly flexible for shift work between Early starts (7.30am), late finishes (7pm) & weekends (8.30am-5pm)
• Great people skills - computer, English, organisation, initiative skills.
• Ability to work in fast paced environment, multitask & prioritising.
