Centre Manager

We are a long term family owned Approved Provider, looking for our next centre leader - Nominated supervisor at our most recent addition to our long day care service offerings known as Turramurra kindergarten on the Sydney's NorthShore.

We are looking for an experienced Director/Nominated Supervisor (ECT preferred) to lead our small team of educators at our Northshore service.

Our recently established and fully renovated centre is a 50 place that has an excellent reputation within the North Turramurra community as well as with families and its team of educators. We are looking for a committed, passionate and enthusiastic leader to join our leadership team and manage the day to day operations of Turramurra kindergarten.

Responsibilities include:

• Manage and enhance the overall operations of the centre and ensure compliance with exceeding levels of compliance with childcare regulations at all times.
• Maintain a high quality of the service in line with the NQF and EYLF, including Workcover and fair work legislation
• Leading and mentoring a team of inspiring educators, providing guidance, support and ongoing professional development opportunities
• Take control of Administrative duties including but not limited to emails, accounts, waitlist management, communications, orientations and enrolments. Noting that sales and accounts is outsourced to external companies however will require you to undertake certain administrative duties on a day to day basis
• Maintaining family relationships and the local community fostering relationships with local organisations, businesses and community leaders to enhance the centres reach and impact
• Driving the delivery of high -quality educational leading program aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
• Foster a positive, nurturing and respectful team culture
• Strong leadership, organisational and program-solving abilities
• Plan and execute a diverse range of learning programs and events that address the needs and interests of the children and community that foster curiosity, creativity and holistic development in children
• Continue to plan and develop and implement the centres current self assessment plan to an exceeding level and oversee and manage the services critical reflection process in line with the services self assessment plan/QIP
• Manage rostering and performance with a common sense and child safe approach

Requirements for the role

• Available 5 days per week for full time (Essential)
• Previous experience in using childcare software (OWNA knowledge a bonus)
• Knowledge of educational leading responsibilities and requirement
• Thorough knowledge of National Quality Framework (NQF) and National Quality Standard requirements
• Minimum of 2 years hand on experience as a Director/Nominated supervisor - written and/or verbal references required from previous roles leadership team
• Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience as a Director, Nominated Supervisor, or Assistant Director in a long day care centre (written references required)
• Current Nominated Supervisor approval from NSW Department of Education or ability to obtain approval
• Current Nominated Supervisor approval from ACECQA (Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority) or ability to obtain approval within 1 months of commencement
• WWCC and current police check (must be valid and up to date)
• Current first aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certifications (must be valid and up-to-date)
• Current first aid (HLTAID012), CPR (HLTAID009), Asthma (22300VIC) and Anaphylaxis (22301VIC) management certifications - all must be valid for at least 6 months from start date
• Safe sleep training
• Food safety supervisor qualification
• WHS and manual handling certifications
• Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (Early Childhood Teacher qualification) - Essential for Nominated Supervisor role
• Australian work rights (citizen, permanent resident, or valid work visa)
• Experience managing a centre with 40+ children
