Civil Labourer

Seeking EXPERIENCED Civil Labourers (CW1 - CW7) for various works throughout the Sydney region. Ongoing work for the right candidate.

Applicants must:

• Be reliable and available to work day, night and weekend shifts.

• Hold a Safework NSW Work Health & Safety General Construction Induction (White) Card

• Hold an RIW Card

• Hold a Statement of Attainment (TLIF0020)- Safely access the rail corridor

• Hold a Category 3 Medical

Roles including but not limited to:

CW1 – New Entrant

• Current Driver's license
• Basic Hand Tool operation and power tools
• Basic knowledge and experience in civil construction industry
• Hold a general Construction Industry Induction training card (White card)
• Basic quality checking
• Traffic controller (ticket- stop/slow bat) with less than 6 months' experience in the industry.

CW2 - Competent Labourer

• As per new entrant but with a minimum 12 month's experience
• Demonstrates competence in basic works and requires minimal supervision
• Competent watercart operator – medium rigid truck (M.R)
• Traffic controller (ticket- stop/slow bat) with 6 months or more experience in the industry

CW3 – Experienced Competent Labourer

• Current Driver's license
• Good knowledge and experience in civil construction industry
• Hold a general Construction Industry Induction training card (Green card)
• Quality checking
• Competent hand tool operation and power tools
• Competent operator of compressors, jack picks, rockdrills, plate compactors, whackers, pumps, etc
• Competent operator of compaction equipment (roller)
• Organise own work (minor)
• Competent watercart operator – Heavy rigid truck (H.R)
• Traffic Controller who holds, and is required to use, any of the following tickets- implement traffic control plans or traffic management plan design, select and modify.

CW4- Leading Hand / Plant Operator

• Current Driver's license
• Excellent knowledge and extensive experience in civil construction industry
• Hold a general Construction Industry Induction training card
• Quality checking and reporting
• Competent hand tool operation and power tools
• Competent operators of compressors, jack picks, rockdrills, plate compactors, whackers, pumps, etc
• Competent operator of all types of compaction equipment
• Organise own work with a small team of employees
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude – repair and maintenance of plant
• Current applicable tick for operation of plant equipment including excavators, boom lifts, etc

CW5 – Senior Leading Hand

• As per CW4 but at a higher level
• Ability to organise a small crew and complete minor projects with minimal supervision
• Competent in basic plan reading
• Ability to use automatic level and laser level
• Complete daily reports with costing information
• Demonstrate excellent teamwork and initiative
• Hold current senior first aid certificate (optional)
• Understanding of WH&S and company SWMS
• Ability to communicate directly with client if required
• Plant operator in charge of plant

CW6 – Operator (special class)

• Experienced plant operator in charge of plant and maintenance
• Multi-disciplined

CW7 – Sub Foreman

• Ability to organise a small crew and complete minor projects without direct supervision
• Competent in plan reading and capable of setting out from survey marks
• Ability to use basic survey equipment and GPS
• Complete daily reports and complete job costing each week
• Computer literate
• Demonstrate excellent teamwork and initiative
• Hold current senior first aid certificate (optional)
• Understanding of WH&S and company SWMS
• Ability to carry out site inductions
• Ability to communicate directly with client on a regular basis
• Senior plant operator/instructor

• CW2 - $45.19
• CW3 - $45.91
• CW4 - $49.06
• CW5 - $51.18
• CW6 - $53.14
• CW7 - $55.50

Additional allowances and penalty rates applicable.
