THIS IS WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

The primary responsibility of this role is to effectively coordinate Barwon Timber's delivery operations, coordinating a fleet of vehicles, drivers and subcontractors. As a valued member of our a supportive and collaborative team, this role works closely with the Transport Team Leader and Transport Manager to drive operational excellence and achieve both business and delivery goals.

THIS ROLE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR

• Planning, scheduling, and coordinating daily deliveries to achieve customer and operational targets.
• Planning loads, fleet allocation, scheduling, and dispatching.
• Maintaining compliance with safety requirements and obligations.
• Using fleet control software, producing reports, and resolving operational challenges.
• Providing clear timely stakeholder updates including customers, managers and drivers.
• Processing client invoicing and administration.
• Delivering high-quality customer service, resolving customer queries.
• Coordinating maintenance and repair activities.
• Preparing and managing the delivery driver rosters.

YOU WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING

The successful candidate will have:

• 3 years' experience as a transport coordinator in a logistics or transport environment.
• Comprehensive knowledge or experience of the timber, hardware and building products, and building industry.
• Intermediate level excel and office suite experience, with demonstrated ability to create and use pivot tables and vlookup functions.
• Experience with transport management and reporting systems.
• Experience working with NHVR and COR regulations.

Desirable licenses include:

• Forklift licence
• Medium rigid licence
