Project Overview
Genus Industrial Services has been awarded a contract to perform the design, supply, construction and commissioning of a 250 MW battery energy storage system forming part of Alinta's planned Reeves Plains Energy Hub, being developed about 50 kilometres north of state capital Adelaide.

The Role
Genus Industrial Services is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join our high-performing team based in Tonsley Adelaide, SA. The role will suit a Senior Project Engineer looking for their next role or an established Project Engineer ready to take that next step up offering a blend of office-based work, combined with on-site construction support.

You Will Be

  • Providing technical, engineering and project support to Genus Project Management and Construction Teams in preparation of scope, engagement of subcontractors.
  • Working closely with the client to ensure all project engineering deliverables are met
  • Support in the preparation of Quality Management Plans (QMP's), Inspection Test Reports (ITR's), Inspection Test Plans (ITP's) and other Quality Control documentation as required
  • Completion of detailed design and constructability reviews, and support procurement logistics and QA/QC inspections.
  • Undertake site inspections support Genus Management and Supervision to manage service and supplier sub-contractors.,
  • Organising and directing Genus Project Engineers.
  • Drive and champion innovation, efficiencies and new ways of approaching problems that can enhance safety, performance and cost

Essential Skills / Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Civil/Structural/Electrical/Mechanical).
  • Minimum 5 year' experience in Engineering or Project Management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Software) and Document Control Experience
  • Experience in the implementation and management of project controls databases
  • Construction Induction Card
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in drafting software such as AutoCAD or MicroStation
  • Experience with GIS systems such as QGIS, Google Earth, or other platforms

Desired Skills / Qualifications

  • 3 years + experience in Renewable Energy as a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer
  • Previous Renewable Energy project commissioning experience
  • Post-graduate qualification in engineering, project management or construction
  • Field Management experience
  • Experience within a professional engineering firm utilities, resources or construction industry
