The Opportunity
Our Port Kembla Manufacturing facility is looking for a Operator in our Hot Coil Processing & Despatch team based in Port Kembla. As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio, we have six major manufacturing sites at Port Kembla that deliver a variety of products, innovative solutions and services to our export and domestic customers.
As an Operator you will be responsible for the creating of our quality products. You will operate overhead cranes and complete manual tasks. Being part of a cross functional team, you will contribute to the safety of our people, quality of our product and the reliability of our equipment.
This opportunity supports a 5 day rotating 12 hour shifts.
What Will You Do?
Being a valued member of our HCPD team, this opportunity will see you:
- successfully contribute to a safe working environment
- operate coil processing lines, cranes and forklifts
- load finished goods for road transport
- manage your time to perform all tasks and duties
- proactively supporting the team with any ancillary work and any additional support when directed by the Team Leaders
