*About the role* The Housing Options Program 2IC is responsible for building and managing relationships, partnerships and networks between communities and Homes NSW to improve communication and enhance client access to services. Responsibilities include:
- In consultation with the Program Manager, provide leadership, management, and support to Housing Pathways staff to ensure high quality service delivery to our tenants, applicants, and stakeholders.
- Assist the Program Manager with probation and annual reviews and the implementation of performance improvement plans as required.
- Provide information, advice, and referrals to appropriate housing products, services, and external support providers.
- Coordinate and monitor case management plans in consultation with relevant specialists, agencies, and service providers.
- Develop and sustain local partnerships with other providers to develop stronger, connected communities.
- Support the professional growth of Housing Pathways and client service teams by identifying training needs, delivering on-the-job coaching, mentoring and guidance, and ensuring staff have the skills and knowledge to meet client needs effectively.
- Manage the intake, assessment and approval process for new applicants to the Social Housing Register and requests for transfer.
- In the absence of the Program Manager, conduct regular staff meetings.
- Facilitate the delivery of Temporary Accommodation and Private Rental Assistance products.
- Ensure allocations for all vacant properties meet required vacant and void timeframes.
Essential Selection Criteria
To be considered for the role, you must address these criteria in your application.
- Minimum Certificate IV in Community Services, Social Housing or other related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in Community Housing or related field.
- Experience using HOMES and RM8 OneTrim (desirable).
- Experience navigating Housing Pathways Policies (desirable).
- Experience working in a relevant sector including housing, homelessness, community services, family and domestic violence services;
- Demonstrated highly developed organisation skills and the ability to undertake tasks independently;
- Well developed and effective interpersonal, de-escalation and communication skills;
- Current drivers licence.
